Hi, I'm Adit, I was raised as a vegan but I own a fried chicken restaurant . Last year, my business was so badly affected by the pandemic as all of my plans were foiled. Managing money has never been my strong suit and it gave me a huge headache every time I tried to track my cash flow. My finances were spiraling out of control but fortunately, I discovered the way out. This is my story.

and business accounts
Prior to the pandemic, I never had any problems managing all my expenses from a single bank account. These include business expenses such as payment to suppliers, monthly rental, purchase of ingredients, or personal expenses like my children’s piano lessons or my wife’s shopping spree. However, as our income suffered during the pandemic, I struggled to keep up with our business expenses, leading to bad business decisions. We felt trapped with no way out.
From that experience, I learned the importance of separating personal and business. It gave me a clear view of my cash flow from both accounts, which made it easier to do budgeting. My business improved and it grew so much that I am currently in the process of opening 4 new stores this year. That led me to another challenge, do I really need to open a new bank account for each new branch?
Luckily, I found Bank Jago! A digital bank that allows me to create numerous bank accounts under just one customer profile. Simple and very useful!
analyzing my spending
As Bank Jago taught me to be disciplined with my budgeting, I was finally able to spare enough money for a decent marketing budget. However, as I lack the skill to keep up with my enthusiasm, I quickly squeezed all the money dry.
Thankfully, by monitoring my expenses through Jago, I was quick to realize this and soon concluded I was wasting so much money on ineffective marketing efforts. I immediately cut the excessive spending and was able to evaluate my strategy to run the business efficiently.

with Shared Pocket
As an attempt to patch things up, I then hired a new marketing manager, Dodi. He was convinced that advertising my restaurant on social media was the best way to get more customers and grow the business. Looking at how aggressive Dodi was, I became worried we would overspend our marketing budget like I did.
Fortunately, I discovered that Jago has an innovative feature, the Shared Pocket. I invited Dodi to the Shared Pocket that was created for marketing purposes. Through this, I was able to monitor his spending easily and make sure that he used the monthly budget wisely.
any payments
Our efforts paid off! My fried chicken restaurant was awarded one of the top 10 recommended Michelle star restaurants in this country. I am now a proud owner of 5 stores and I can’t wait for the number to grow. However as I was getting so busy, I was often careless and often missed payments or mixed up the different bills from each store.
Then, I tried Jago’s Plan Ahead feature, which helped me schedule recurring payments and ensure all the bills would be paid on time. It’s like having my own assistant!
With Jago, I am now able to enjoy automated banking experience, giving me more time to spend on creating new chicken recipes!
