Have friends or family who are having trouble saving money? They often confide in you that they are easily tempted to buy whatever they like, so they don't have any money to save. Want to help them? You can do it. Let's create a Shared Pocket in the Jago application.
Help Those Closest to You Save Money Using the Shared Pocket
The Pocket is a feature in the Jago application that makes it easy for you to separate various financial needs, including monthly bills, grocery shopping, emergency fund, snacks, traveling, and many more. All of these needs can be separated using the Jago Pocket.
If you want to have 5 savings, you can create 5 Saving Pockets. Meanwhile, if there are 10 expenses, you can create 10 Spending Pockets. You can create up to 40 Jago Pockets, each of which has its own account number. This means that in the Jago application, you can have 40 bank accounts. Both savings and expenses can all be monitored in one application.
What about the Shared Pocket? It allows you to save or manage expenses with the people closest to you. So, if you want to help friends or family save money, you can invite them to join the Saving Pocket or Spending Pocket that you have created. When an invitation is sent, the Pocket automatically becomes a Shared Pocket.
What You Can Do with the Shared Pocket
1. Encourage smart spending choices
What are smart spending choices like? An example would be when eating out together. Your friend always orders expensive dishes. So, at a time like this you can remind your friend that there is a spending limit, for example a maximum of Rpxxx.
In the Shared Pocket, you can set a payment limit with all the Pocket members. And, spending cannot exceed a predetermined limit. In this way, your friend can choose a cheaper menu so they can start saving money. Over time, they will get used to it and automatically reduce their expenses.
For payments using the Shared Pocket, you can use the Jago Visa Debit Card to make it more practical. The Jago Visa Debit Card that can be linked to the Pocket is the card of the Pocket owner.
2. Encourage saving money to achieve shared goals
It is not exciting at all when you save without a goal, right? Therefore, if you have friends or family who are not used to saving, you can invite them to join the Shared Saving Pocket.
Set a saving goal that you want to achieve together and then set a target for when the goal will be achieved. In this way, each member becomes enthusiastic about saving. Together, all of you will be getting closer and closer to the goal, whether it's healing together, watching a concert of your favorite band together, Umrah together, etc.
Each member of the Shared Saving Pocket can monitor the savings progress at any time. Just log in to your Jago application and click on the Pocket to see the progress.
It feels great when we can see the people closest to us succeed in changing their habits of using money. Let's help them become jagoans at saving with the Shared Pocket.
The Jago application can be downloaded here for those who don’t have it yet.
