Jakarta, March 5, 2024 - Committed to continuously promoting financial literacy, PT Bank Jago Tbk collaborated with DetikFinance to hold a financial education event titled "dPreneur" at Tarumanagara University, Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/5/2024).

Carrying the theme "Modal Uang Jajan Wishlist 2024 Jalan" (Investing Pocket Money, 2024 Wishlist Will Come True),, dPreneur featured Bank Jago's Consumer Business Community Manager Edo Velandika and influencer and certified financial planner Nadia Harsya as speakers. Both provided financial management tips to 150 Tarumanagara University students.

Nadia Harsya said that giving appreciation to oneself (self-reward) is important for every individual, including students. However, ideally, self-reward should be the last priority after meeting all needs.

"If we use an analogy, it's like running 10 kilometers and stopping at the water station. Self-reward is like water; we run first and then we can finally reward ourselves. Otherwise, it's like self-sabotage," said Nadia.

Because self-reward requires a budget, Nadia continued, it is important to manage finances properly. Especially for students, good monthly budget allocation can not only help meet needs but also desires.

"In managing finances, there are two important things to consider: allocating priority needs such as food, transportation costs, and study needs, and also allocating the remaining budget weekly to have more disciplined self-control," said Nadya.

On the same occasion, Edo Velandika reminded the importance of saving as a good start in financial management. "Saving is number one. Many say that saving doesn't make you rich, especially if you don't save," he explained.

The man who is affectionately known as Dika added that financial management in the digital era is easier because there are many apps that can help. One of them is the Jago App, which is not only useful for saving and supporting payment transactions but also offers the Pockets feature that greatly assists customers in managing their finances.

"With theJago App, one account can create up to 40 pockets, equivalent to 40 accounts. With 1 Jago app, you can have 40 financial goals separated in 1 Jago app, tailored to your wishes," said Dika.

According to Dika, the Jago App has an autosave feature that allows users to set automatic savings intervals from 1 to 30 days. "Let's say you want to save Rp 300,000 every month. For example, every 3rd of every month, the money is automatically allocated Another example for vacation, you can create a vacation pocket. Every predetermined date, the money will be automatically transferred to that pocket. If the frequency is too much, it can be set weekly or daily," he added.

In addition to the sharing session, the event was also enlivened by several interesting games. One of them is playing a financial management simulation through Jago Money Quest, an interactive web-based game innovation from Bank Jago.

Jago Money Quest places players as students facing various financial situations, divided into eight levels of the game. The game aims to increase the awareness of young people about financial health so they become more confident in managing finances and have sustainable long-term financial goals.
