Jakarta, December 5, 2025 – PT Bank Jago wrapped up 2025 by engaging more than 300 university students through its Jagoan Kampus Program at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto, and Institut Pertanian Bogor. The program encourages students to build financial literacy and resilience early on, while also broadening their understanding of the working world and the skills today’s industries demand.

Held across three cities, the program featured five “Jagoans”—Bank Jago employees who served as speakers—each bringing different expertise and perspectives. Andhina Aryani, Sustainability Specialist at Bank Jago, and Edo Velandika, Community Manager at Bank Jago—both Certified Financial Planners (CFP)—shared insights on financial literacy and resilience. Meanwhile, Dwi Gelegar Gilang from Branding, Attraction, and Engagement; Yopi Andari from Partnership Lending Business; and Radityo Saputro, People Partner at Bank Jago, offered perspectives on career readiness, personal development, and the skills and talent needs of today’s job market.

“We believe that managing money isn’t about right or wrong. What matters most is knowing yourself—understanding your needs, priorities, and capabilities, and setting healthy boundaries—so you can find the right balance between security and comfort,” said Andhina.

Edo Velandika emphasized the importance of young people starting to think about financial resilience early, especially amid economic challenges that demand more than simply having a lot of money. Unfortunately, many young people still fall into financial difficulties due to consumptive lifestyles and low financial literacy.

“Financial resilience isn’t about how much money you have, but about healthy financial behavior and long-term strategies built from small, consistent habits,” Edo explained.

As part of its commitment to improving the financial well-being of Indonesians, Bank Jago has pioneered more structured money management through the Jago and Jago Syariah apps, particularly via the Kantong (Pocket) feature. This feature allows users to divide funds into up to 60 different pockets for specific purposes—from daily expenses and emergency funds to savings and investments—helping anyone build more disciplined, planned, and sustainable financial habits.

Preparing for the Future

Career readiness was another topic that resonated strongly with students. Gilang highlighted common concerns that often arise as graduation approaches, including lack of confidence, uncertainty about career direction, and anxiety about entering an increasingly dynamic workforce.

“Many students feel anxious about entering the workforce, especially when facing culture shock and cross-industry transitions that aren’t always easy,” Gilang shared. He stressed the importance of mental readiness, adaptability, and the courage to keep learning beyond one’s academic background.

Personal experiences added depth to the discussion. Yopi Andari, from Partnership Lending Business at Bank Jago and an IPB alumna, reflected on her own journey from college to the professional world. She acknowledged that many early-career challenges—especially financial ones—are often not fully addressed in the classroom.

“Financial challenges for students and fresh graduates are very real—from managing monthly expenses to handling your first paycheck. That’s why building good money management habits early on, from budgeting to using the Pocket feature in the Jago app, is essential to keeping finances healthy and on track,” Yopi said.

As a concrete step, Bank Jago has also prepared internship opportunities through the Jago Digital Academy, offering students and fresh graduates the chance to learn directly in a professional work environment, understand company culture, and develop skills aligned with industry needs. The program is designed to help new talent grow, adapt, and be ready to contribute from the very start of their careers.

With an inclusive approach, Bank Jago underscores that everyone’s financial and career journey is different. At its core, financial resilience and career readiness are long-term processes that should begin early—built through small, consistent steps over time.
