About the Biometric for Transactions Feature (Effective as of 17 November 2025)
The Biometric for Transactions Feature allows you to verify transactions using your fingerprint (Android) or Face ID (iOS), making the process faster and more convenient without entering a PIN.
Benefits of Biometrics for Transactions
Now, you don’t have to worry about your PIN being seen by others when making transactions in public places.
Simply activate the biometric for transactions feature in Jago.
Once it’s active, you can verify transactions using your fingerprint (Android) or Face ID (iOS).
Your transactions become faster, easier, and just as secure.
Activating Biometrics for Transactions
1. Go to the More menu on the Home page.
2. Select the Settings icon at the top right corner.
3. Find the Face ID / Fingerprint for Transactions option.
4. Tap the toggle to activate it.
5. Read the listed Terms & Conditions carefully.
6. Select Agree and Activate.
7. Once the setting is activated, transactions below the Password authentication limit will require verification using a fingerprint or Face ID (biometric).
How to Use PIN for Transactions / Disable Biometric for Transactions
1. Go to the More menu on the Home page.
2. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
3. Find the Face ID / Fingerprint for Transactions option.
4. Click the toggle to disable biometric authentication.
5. When this feature is disabled, transactions below the Password authentication limit will require a PIN for transaction authentication.
What is the transaction amount limit that can be authenticated using biometrics or a PIN?
In the Authentication using Password settings, you can view and set the transaction amount limit that requires password authentication.
- If your transaction amount is equal to or below that limit, the transaction will be authenticated using your PIN or biometrics.
- If your transaction amount is above that limit, the transaction will be authenticated using your password.
For your security, the Password Authentication limit you set cannot exceed Rp10,000,000.
How to Set the Transaction Amount Limit for Password Authentication
1. Go to the More menu on the Home page.
2. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
3. Find the Password Authentication option.
4. Set the transaction amount limit that will require Password Authentication.
Risk of The Biometric for Transactions
Biometrics for Transactions allows you to confirm transactions using your fingerprint (Android) or Face ID (iOS).
To maintain security, ensure only your fingerprint or Face ID is registered on your smartphone to prevent others from misusing it.
You can also disable biometric authentication at any time and switch back to using your PIN for transactions if needed.
How much does it cost to activate Biometrics for Transactions?
There is no fee for activating this feature.
What happens if biometric authentication fails?
If your biometric authentication fails, a pop-up will appear with two options: Retry or Cancel.
- If you choose Retry, you can try authenticating again.
- If you choose Cancel, the system will ask for your PIN.
- If the PIN is entered incorrectly 3 times, you’ll be asked to enter your password.
- If the password is also entered incorrectly 3 times, your account will be locked for 1 hour. After that, you can try logging in again and select Forgot Password.
