Save Money in a Saving Pocket to Buy an Electric Car
In the Jago application, you can save money in a Saving Pocket and a Locked Pocket to buy something you want or achieve your financial goals. However, Jagomin suggests those of you who want to buy an electric car to save money in a Locked Pocket.
There are several main reasons for choosing a Locked Pocket, such as helping you resist the temptation to spend money and earning higher interest than the Saving Pocket. By saving money in a Locked Pocket for a period of time that you can set yourself, the dream of owning an electric car is no longer just a dream.
To start saving to buy an electric car in a Locked Pocket, you can follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Jago application then create a Saving Pocket
When you click Create Pocket, you will find several Pocket options. Since your goal is to buy an electric car and you plan to save some money first, the right Pocket to create is a Saving Pocket.
You can create up to 20 Saving Pockets, which is the same as having 20 different savings or bank accounts because each Pocket has its own account number.
2. Personalize the Pocket
After the Saving Pocket has been successfully created, you can personalize the Pocket by changing its name and giving the appropriate emoticon.
To buy a car, the money that needs to be collected first is the down payment. As such, you can name the Pocket "Electric Car DP". This way, you won't confuse it with the other Pockets and it's easier to monitor the progress of your savings.
3. Lock the Pocket so it becomes a Locked Pocket
To get greater interest and secure money from being used for other purposes as stated above, you can Lock Pocket.
Choose how long you want to lock your Pocket. After that the Saving Pocket will change to a Locked Pocket. You can also add booster options such as Set Target and Autosave to enjoy hassle-free saving.
4. Top up your Locked Pocket at any time
If you get more fortune like a bonus or have more money from reducing expenses, for example, you can immediately put the money in the Locked Pocket.
The Locked Pocket is flexible in nature. Even though it's locked, you can still add money (top up) at any time. The awesome thing is, the interest you get will automatically adjust.
5. When the lock opens when it's due, go buy the electric car you’ve always wanted right away
You must be looking forward to the due date of the Locked Pocket. On the due date, the Pocket will be unlocked automatically and you can immediately use the money to buy an electric car.
For a practical payment, transfer the DP money directly from the Pocket. You don't need to move the money to the Main Pocket. However, you first need to change the function of the Pocket from Saving Pocket to Spending Pocket so that it can be used for payments.
Don't Forget to Prepare Money for Various Electric Vehicle Needs
The down payment has been paid off and your electric car is already in the garage and ready to accompany you wherever you go. However, there are important things that you shouldn't forget.
You still have to save money to pay for installments and set aside money to charge the electric car as well as for maintenance. Apart from that, you can also start setting aside money to buy an electric car battery. If money has been set aside from now on, you will feel lighter later.
So that all of the needs above can be properly met when the time comes, you can create more new Pockets in the Jago application. You don't have to create Saving Pockets. For maintenance and electric car charging, you can allocate the funds to a Spending Pocket. You can also link your Spending Pocket to your Jago Visa Debit Card and QRIS Jago for practical non-cash payments.
