How to Prevent Your Jago or Jago Syariah Account from Being Dormant

manfaatkan mudahnya atur uang di banyak rekening dan ekosistem digital agar rekening jago atau jago syariah tidak dormant How to Prevent Your Jago or Jago Syariah Account from Being Dormant

It’s too bad to have a Jago or Jago Syariah account only for it to end up inactive. Currently, there are adjustments to the rules regarding account status that you need to pay attention to so that your banking experience remains smooth. What are Inactive and Dormant statuses, and what can you do to keep your Pockets productive? Let’s check out the details!

Understanding Pocket Status: Inactive vs. Dormant

At Bank Jago and Jago Syariah, every Pocket has its own account number. This means the active or inactive status of a resource is determined at the Pocket level, not just the main account. Here are the two stages of status changes if a Pocket is not used:

1. Inactive Pocket

A Pocket is declared Inactive if there is no transactional activity for more than 360 consecutive days.

  • What happens? The balance in that Pocket will be moved to the Main Pocket, and the Pocket will be closed automatically after a certain period.

  • Limitations: You cannot withdraw money, transfer, make payments, or use it as a source of funds for scheduled payments using the Plan Ahead feature, and use the Auto-Budgeting feature.

2. Dormant Pocket

Dormant status is the stage where a Pocket has not been used for a very long time—specifically, no transactions for more than 1,800 consecutive days.

  • What happens? Similar to the Inactive status, transaction features will be fully restricted. System transactions, such as interest payments (specifically for Jago users), will continue but are not considered activities that reactivate the account.

Inactive Pocket Fee and Dormant Pocket Fee

One important thing to note is the monthly fee. You will be charged a fee of Rp10,000 per month, automatically debited every 26th, only if your Main Pocket has an Inactive or Dormant status.

This fee will be applied until you reactivate the account or until the Main Pocket balance reaches Rp0. If your Main Pocket remains active, you don't need to worry about this fee, even if your other Pockets are inactive.

How to Reactivate Your Pocket

Don't worry—if your Pocket has already changed status, you can still reactivate it with the following steps:

  • For Inactive Pockets: Simply log in to the Jago app and tap the "Reactivate" button. Make sure to do this promptly before the Pocket is permanently closed.

  • For Dormant Pockets: Because this status is stricter, you are required to perform a re-verification of your identity with Bank Jago to ensure data security before the Pocket can be used again.

Which Pockets Can Be Affected?

The following types of Pockets can change status to Inactive:

  • Main Pocket

  • Saving Pockets (Arisan, Vacation, Qurban, Emergency Fund)

  • Spending & Business Pockets

  • Foreign Currency Pockets

  • Umrah, Giveaway, and Kids Pockets

Exceptions: Inactive or Dormant status does not apply to several types of Pockets, such as Locked Pockets (as long as the ARO option is active) and Term Deposits (for Jago users), Sharia Deposits (for Jago Syariah users), RDN Pockets, and Partner Pockets.
