Tangerang Selatan, 6 June, 2024 – Supporting financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia, PT Bank Jago Tbk participated in the Banten Karya Kreatif & Digiwara Fun Fest 2024 event which held at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall Tangerang Selatan from 5-9 June, 2024.

The Karya Kreatif Banten & Digiwara Fun Fest 2024 is a regular event organized by Bank Indonesia and the Banten Provincial Governmentto promote innovation, digitalization, and collaboration among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), while expanding the digital financial ecosystem. The event was attended by more than 80 MSME players from 8 districts/cities in the Banten Province.

Edo Velandika, Brand Activation Social Lead Community Manager of Bank Jago, stated that Bank Jago's participation in this event aligns with its aspiration to enhance the growth for millions through life-centric digital financial solutions. In front of hundreds of participants, mostly students, Dika conducted financial education using the JUJURLY card game to encourage people to honestly discuss financial matters.

The JUJURLY card game, designed jointly by Bank Jago and PT Bibit Tumbuh Bersama (Bibit), contains questions about personal finance and investments that are closely related to daily life.

"Let’s be real, talking about money often feels stiff and intimidating. But not anymore. With JUJURLY cards, discussions about money can become more engaging, interactive, and insightful," said Dika.

Dika explained that Bank Jago, as a technology-based bank embedded in the digital ecosystem, aims to enhance the growth of millions through life-centric digital financial solutions. As part of its commitment to addressing financial literacy and inclusion issues in Indonesia, Bank Jago conducts financial education using the JUJURLY card game to make it more engaging and understandable for the wider community.

Through the JUJURLY card game, Dika continued, people are indirectly encouraged to be more open in discussing financial goals and challenges, whether with family, close friends, or professionals. Thus, everyone can learn from each other and engage in discussions on managing finances and planning realistic future budgets.

"Through this game, we can learn from others and discover new ideas on how to manage finances according to their methods. For example, we can learn new budgeting techniques or become more mindful when making purchases. This way, we become more responsible for our choices," said Dika, who is also a certified financial planner.

Moreover, Dika added, financial education through games can strengthen relationships between individuals, especially with partners or friends. The hope is that from these intimate relationships, positive and productive shared financial goals can be achieved, fostering healthy financial independence.

"Don't let financial issues stress you out. Discussing these issues with someone you trust can help you see everything more clearly, exchange thoughts on solutions, and perhaps even get advice. With open communication, we can easily set common goals, avoid misunderstandings, and build financial security," said Dika.

During the event, Dika also introduced the Jago App as a digital financial solution designed to integrate into various digital ecosystems and be customizable according to individual needs and preferences, including easy, innovative, and collaborative financial management.

"The Jago App helps us manage finances according to our own ways or #SesuaiMaumu (as you want), together with our closest people, whether family or friends," said Dika.

Dika further explained that Jago App users can create up to 40 savings pockets and 20 deposit pockets, each tailored to personal needs and having different account numbers. Bank Jago customers can also create Shared Pockets that can be managed and monitored together with close ones, such as family or friends.

"In addition, there's an Auto Budgeting feature in each Pocket so that customers can be more disciplined in saving according to pre-set schedules and amounts. With these features, we can separate funds to avoid mixing them, become more disciplined, and easily achieve our financial targets," explained Dika.
