Medan, 19 November 2023 - To enhance the growth of millions through life-focused digital financial solutions, PT Bank Jago Tbk collaborated with IDX Channel to hold a financial literacy event at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Medan, North Sumatra. The event titled "Manage Your Money #SesuaiMaumu (as you wish) with Jago" involved more than 80 participants from several leading social communities in Medan.
This financial literacy education was opened by the Head of OJK Regional V North Sumatra, Bambang Mukti Riyadi, and featured speakers including Senior Faculty from the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI) Amin Nurdin and Head of Consumer Business Customer Value Management at Bank Jago, Irene Santoso.
"We at OJK highly appreciate the efforts of Bank Jago and IDX Channel in building a community base that understands financial literacy. OJK is very concerned about the wide gap between financial inclusion and literacy in Indonesia, as many people have accounts but low literacy," said Bambang Mukti Riyadi.
Irene Santoso explained that as a technology-based bank, Bank Jago always prioritizes innovation and collaboration with digital economic players. This aligns with the general shift in where people heavily rely on digital applications to meet their daily needs.
"That's why we collaborate with the ecosystem by embedding the Jago App into digital applications that help people in their daily lives. This way, customers can easily create various financial transactions as they wish from anywhere and anytime with their loved ones," explained Irene.
By being embedded in the digital ecosystem, customers can use Bank Jago services through partner applications without having to download and install the Jago App. For example, through Gojek, Tokopedia, Bibit, Stockbit, and the latest collaboration with GoPay Tabungan.
Amin Nurdin stated that the development of digital finance in Indonesia in recent years is inseparable from the rapid penetration of the internet and the growth of trade transactions through electronic systems or e-commerce.
According to Amin, Bank Jago, as a financial institution, plays a crucial role in driving the digital ecosystem and enhancing financial inclusion and literacy.
