JAKARTA, 13 March 2026 – PT Bank Jago Tbk has partnered with Rumah Zakat to provide recovery support for children affected by disasters in Sumatra through the "Jagoan Baca" program. The initiative is part of an effort to help children recover and approach their education with renewed enthusiasm after facing challenging circumstances.
The activities took place at SDIT An Nur in Meunasah Lhok, Pidie Jaya, Aceh, featuring interactive storytelling sessions led by Deviana, Corporate Brand Management Lead at Bank Jago, and Fitri Diana Sari, People Product Lead at Bank Jago. Through inspiring and cheerful stories, the two interacted directly with students, creating a warm and engaging learning environment.
During the sessions, the children enthusiastically followed the storylines and actively participated in various activities. Laughter and energy filled the classroom as they were encouraged to use their imaginations, answer questions and share their experiences. The activity served not only as entertainment but also helped restore self-confidence and an eagerness to learn.
In addition to storytelling, Bank Jago and Rumah Zakat distributed collective donations from Bank Jago employees, consisting of school supplies and reading books for the student disaster victims. The assistance is expected to support the children's educational needs while providing new motivation to continue their studies and pursue their dreams.
The Jagoan Baca program also provides a safe and positive space for children to express themselves during the post-disaster recovery process. Through reading and storytelling, children are encouraged to rebuild learning habits, broaden their horizons and foster an interest in reading from an early age.
The collaboration between Bank Jago and Rumah Zakat brought a warm moment of togetherness for the child disaster victims in Aceh. The moral support and encouragement provided by both entities demonstrate the importance of community cooperation in aiding the recovery process and building hope for a better future.
