Jakarta, 30 October 2023 - To contribute in increasing financial inclusion and literacy, PT Bank Jago Tbk, through the employee group House of Simplicity, provided financial literacy education to students and parents of the Al-Qur'an Educational Center(TPA) Ikhlasul Machfudz, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, on Thursday (10/26/2023).
"We shared tips and strategies that can help every household achieve their financial dreams and goals," said Commissioner of PT Bank Jago Tbk, Teguh Dartanto.
With a theme "Becoming More Skillful in Managing Daily Finances," Teguh explained, this event aims to promote the culture of saving from an early age and enhance parents' understanding of proper family financial management.
"We believe that understanding financial literacy is the key to achieving good financial stability, as well as building a strong household economic stability," he said.
To inspire the training participants, mostly housewives, Bank Jago employees distributed wallets to support simulations of managing household income and expenditure budgets. This simulation is expected to foster a culture of budget discipline within the family environment, thus enhancing economic and financial well-being.
Meanwhile, to promote saving habits, the students were introduced to basic financial principles through coloring and piggy bank decorating competitions. This visual experience is expected to raise awareness of the importance of setting aside pocket money to achieve financial dreams.
"Through this initiative, we hope to contribute to the improvement of the financial literacy index and help communities build a more stable financial future," said Director of Compliance of PT Bank Jago Tbk, Tjit Siat Fun.
One of the managers at the TPA Ikhlasul Machfudz, Renny Nurhasana, expressed that this activity is important to educate students and parents about proper financial management.
"Our hope is that after this, through the knowledge gained, students and parents can practice good and proper financial management, thus achieving their financial goals," she concluded.
