Jakarta, 30 October, 2025 – PT Bank Jago Tbk once again reaffirmed its commitment to fostering children’s reading interest and financial literacy through a series of activities at the 2025 Indonesia International Storytelling Festival (FDII). Through its Jagoan Baca program and in partnership with volunteer community Ayo Dongeng Indonesia (AYODI), several Bank Jago employees stepped into new roles as storytellers, engaging hundreds of children at elementary schools across Jakarta.
Jagoan Baca is a voluntary initiative by Bank Jago employees focused on writing short stories centered on good money management from an early age. These stories have been published in several Jagoan Baca books, designed to serve as fun and educational financial literacy tools for Indonesian children.
The FDII main event took place on November 1–2, 2025, at the Bank Indonesia Museum in North Jakarta, drawing more than 200 enthusiastic children who took part in storytelling sessions led by local and international storytellers.
Ahead of the main event, the FDII and Jagoan Baca roadshow kicked off with a visit to the Jakarta Library in Central Jakarta. On this occasion, Fitri Dianasari, People Product Lead at Bank Jago, delivered an interactive storytelling session in front of hundreds of eager children, who learned about saving, sharing, and managing money in an engaging and enjoyable way.
The storytelling activities continued at SDIT Citra Az-Zahra in West Jakarta, led by Sheila Triana, Operations Development Specialist at Bank Jago. Here, students not only listened to the story but also actively participated in discussions and answered questions, showing strong curiosity about financial literacy concepts.
On another occasion, Jagoan Baca and AYODI visited SDN 04 Petang Johar Baru in Central Jakarta, featuring Kezia Jovanka, External Communication Specialist at Bank Jago, as the storyteller. The children enthusiastically followed the story, absorbed its moral messages, and began to understand the concepts of sharing and managing money wisely.
The final visit took place at Sekolah Islam Tugasku in East Jakarta. Agust Supriadi, External Communication Specialist at Bank Jago, collaborated with AYODI storytellers to lead the session. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and interactive discussions, further motivating children to learn through stories while nurturing a lasting interest in reading.
Each visit reinforced the core mission of Jagoan Baca: blending entertainment with education to create enjoyable literacy experiences, while instilling financial values from an early age through stories that are easy for children to understand and relate to.
As a tangible expression of its commitment to literacy, Bank Jago also donated Jagoan Baca books to the libraries of the schools visited, as well as to the South Jakarta Office of Library and Archives. This initiative helps ensure children continue to have access to quality reading materials and encourages early reading habits, allowing literacy and creativity to grow over time.
