Depok, 2 October 2026 — PT Bank Jago Tbk reaffirmed its sustainability commitment by outlining its community financial inclusion and health strategies at the Universitas Indonesia Convention Hall in Depok during the UI SDGs Summit 2026. The primary focus was driving youth involvement to create real social impact through digital banking and healthy financial habits.
Andy Djiwandono, Head of Sustainability at Bank Jago, delivered the remarks as a keynote speaker at the event organized by the Universitas Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM UI). Speaking to hundreds of students and academics, Andy detailed how the tech-based bank seeks to address real-world societal challenges through a social intrapreneurship approach.
"As professionals within a company, I always encourage innovation to achieve a double bottom line, meaning business growth and profitability must go hand in hand with positive impacts on society and the environment," Andy said.
This balance serves as Bank Jago's foundation for approaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda. While environmental aspects are vital, Andy emphasized that in developing nations like Indonesia, everyday social challenges, specifically limited financial access and health, form the fundamental baseline requiring immediate attention and solutions.
"In Indonesia, the biggest social problem we face daily is financial health, because without proper management and access, individuals struggle to get a decent education, secure good jobs, or build their own businesses, making financial health the very foundation for improving overall quality of life at Bank Jago," Andy said.
To address these challenges, Bank Jago goes beyond simply improving financial literacy by actively encouraging changes in consumer financial behavior. The bank has implemented a Financial Health Framework embedded directly into the Jago App, helping users manage habits around planning, spending, saving and borrowing responsibly.
Active engagement with young people is also key to Bank Jago's innovation. Andy highlighted how fresh ideas from young internal talent channeled through the annual SDG Young Innovator Awards have been transformed into practical features for the public.

"We give young talent the space to break boundaries and bring their ideas to life, resulting in innovative features like the Credit Report on the Jago App, which connects directly with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Financial Information Service System (SLIK) for easy and transparent credit status checks," Andy said.
By integrating social mission, digital technology, and youth empowerment, Bank Jago aims to demonstrate that banking can grow sustainably while serving as a driver of inclusive social change.
"No matter your age or where you work, you can always be an entrepreneur or intrapreneur who makes a positive impact, as what matters most is having the courage to collaborate, push boundaries, and turn those ideas into reality for society," Andy concluded.
