Jakarta, April 18, 2024 - PT Bank Jago Tbk introduces its work culture and company values, as a technology-based bank embedded in the digital ecosystem, in a public lecture attended by hundreds of Prasetiya Mulya University students. The event, themed "The Future trends of HR: Transform your Workforce," featured Head of People and Culture at PT Bank Jago, Tbk, Pratomo Soedarsono, as a guest lecturer.
In the Human Resources Management course, Pratomo, commonly known as Tommy, equips students with various fundamental knowledge and understanding of business models, opportunities, challenges, and human resource management skills.
"One of the main challenges in the digital banking industry today is the scarcity of digital talents and the ability of banks to adopt rapidly evolving technology, as well as the digital maturity of society that needs to be enhanced," said Tommy during the public lecture at Prasetiya Mulya University.
According to Tommy, for banking to be fully digitalized, both the banking system and its human resources require a change in mindset and culture, supported by proficient digital capabilities. However, there is a limitation of quality human resources in the digital technology field and a mismatch of skills between available and required digital talents in Indonesia.
To address these challenges, Bank Jago as a technology-based bank is implementing various innovations and collaborations to enhance digital financial literacy while producing outstanding digital talents ready for employment. This includes launching the self-paced digital learning program, Jago Digital Academy, in collaboration with several universities.
Jago Digital Academy (JDA) is designed as a collaborative platform for talents in the technology field to accelerate their knowledge and digital competencies independently. Through this program, it is hoped that outstanding talents in technology and digital banking will emerge, ready to enter the increasingly competitive job market.
"With the assistance of AI, JDA has developed self-paced learning programs for 50 fields of study, divided into more than 200 learning modules, focusing on three technical competency tracks: Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science. Currently, there are approximately 1,400 JDA participants," explained Tommy.
Addressing 450 Prasetiya Mulya University students, Tommy stated that every digital talent must introduce the goals and positive values ideally possessed by every digital talent, especially those aspiring to become employees of Bank Jago.
"These include always seeking digital solutions that can serve all human life needs (life-centricity), the spirit of growth and self-improvement (purposeful growth), courage to challenge norms and create creative solutions (fearless creativity), and adapting quickly to changes and making informed decisions (empowered agility)," he elaborated.
Leonis Marchalina, Assistant Professor at Prasetiya Mulya University, believes that the values and work culture applied by Bank Jago are crucial for digital talents to understand, especially students entering the workforce or aspiring to develop startups.
"I see Bank Jago's values and culture as a strong asset as an agile organization. If we are not prepared for all changes, then we will not be ready to compete," concluded Leonis.
