Bank Jago and Create Innovations to Simplify Investment

Jakarta, 18 July 2023 – As a tech-based bank embedded in ecosystems, PT Bank Jago Tbk has collaborated with PT Bibit Tumbuh Bersama (, an online mutual fund selling agent (APERD), to provide customers with products and services in financial management and investment since July 2021. After two years of Bank Jago and Bibit collaboration, their customers have managed and invested their money in a safe, simple, fast, and seamless manner.

“Our customers can access Bibit investment services easily, thanks to Bank Jago’s main strength, which is collaborating with ecosystems. Now, after serving together for two years, more users of Jago and Bibit apps have seen the benefits,” said Bank Jago’s Head of Sustainability & Digital Lending Andy Djiwandono.

Bank Jago has found that more people are interested in investing and managing their money through Jago and Bibit service collaboration. As of June 2023, there were more than 1 million users of Bibit app with connection to Bank Jago. The number grew more than 60% compared to the same period of last year. At the same time, the number of Customer Fund Account (RDN) jumped three-fold in the past year.

As a bank which serves all kinds of segments of people, from retail (consumer), mass market, to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Bank Jago saw that customers of the Generation Z and millennials brackets were highly interested in investing through Jago and Bibit apps. Customers who are Generation Z and millennials constitute 53% and 41%, respectively, to the number of over 1 million users.

In general, users of Jago and Bibit apps set their main goals when investing, such as setting up funds for retirement, emergency situations, and marriage. In terms of emergency funds, as many as 50% of customers choose mutual fund products with instant redemption as it allows them to manage cash flows more flexibly.

“The younger generation is now thinking ahead to prepare for their future and retirement. This awareness of the importance of investing and saving up for the future shows an improved level of literacy and financial management," said Bank Jago’s Head of Consumer Business Trio Lumbantoruan.

Bank Jago customers who are connected to the Bibit app have an average of eight pockets on their Jago app. These pockets are used to organize their funds according to their needs and desires.

The collaboration between Bank Jago and Bibit enables customers to make investments and manage their finances safely, easily, quickly and seamlessly through various features, such as Jago Autodebit for scheduled purchases of mutual fund products, instant redemption for withdrawing mutual funds in seconds, viewing option for investment portfolio, and an option to add (top-up) investment funds without switching apps.

This year, Bank Jago includes a feature called Bibit Plus, which allows Bank Jago's Customer Fund Accounts (RDN) to be used not only for mutual fund investment, but also for investing in fixed rate (FR) state bonds and stocks on Bibit app.
