In partnership with Baznas, Dompet Dhuafa and Rumah Zakat, Bank Jago has launched the Jago Amal feature to help customers who want to donate and give zakat easily, transparently, and reliably.
Jakarta, 5 April 2023 - As a tech-based bank with its aspirations to increase growth opportunities of millions through life-centric digital financial solutions, PT Bank Jago Tbk realizes that each individual has different needs, dreams and goals. One of the most important needs is the distribution of zakat and alms.
Therefore, during the holy month of Ramadan, Bank Jago through its sharia business unit, Jago Syariah, launched the Jago Amal feature as a means of distributing zakat and alms to help people continue doing good.
"As a life-centric digital financial solution, Bank Jago is committed to always being relevant to the needs of our customers. Based on research that we conducted, the majority of the digital market segment considers zakat and alms to be important in their lives. So, we have introduced the feature of distributing zakat and alms for Jago and Jago Syariah customers," said Head of Sharia Business Bank Jago, Waasi B. Sumintardja.
Based on observations and discussions, Jago Syariah sees three important considerations for customers in distributing donations, which are trustworthy amil institutions, transparent fund distribution, and easy and practical payment methods. Waasi further explained that the collaboration with Baznas, Dompet Dhuafa and Rumah Zakat makes customers more confident and gives them many options in distributing donations according to their needs.
Customers can also pay donations on behalf of their closest people or family members as a form of appreciation for them without administrative fees. "With the launch of Jago Amal, we hope to provide an inclusive financial solution that makes it easier for people to participate in social activities and contribute to improving the quality of life for millions of Indonesians," said Waasi.
This Ramadan, Bank Jago also invites customers to improve the quality of education for Indonesian children through the #TeruskanKebaikan program. Therefore, during the period of 20 March to 20 April 2023, Bank Jago will donate IDR 50,000 for every new Jago and Jago Syariah account opened on behalf of the new customer who opens the account.
All donations collected will be distributed through Rumah Zakat in the form of education funds to help children who have dropped out of school in various regions of Indonesia. To participate in this activity, customers can get more detailed information on the @jagosyariah and @jadijago Instagram accounts.
As a tech-based bank, Bank Jago has developed the Jago App which is designed to be embedded in various digital ecosystems and can be customized and personalized to meet the needs of each customer. By adopting the latest technology, the Jago App has complete banking features for transactions, savings and investments, as well as managing finances quickly, easily, and safely.
The Jago App uses the Pockets feature, allowing customers to separate money into different categories according to their needs and wants. Customers can also collaborate with family and friends to achieve financial goals together by inviting them to manage funds and make transactions.
Aiming to provide sharia digital banking products and services that are equivalent to conventional banking, Bank Jago launched Jago Syariah. With Jago Syariah, customers can make transactions, savings and investments more conveniently and manage their finances according to their needs and beliefs.
