Bank Jago Launches Pocket Inspiration, New Feature for Personalized Money Management

Jakarta, 3 July 2026 — PT Bank Jago Tbk has introduced Pocket Inspiration (Inspirasi Kantong), a new feature in the Jago App designed to help users organize their Pockets according to their financial goals, habits, and money management styles. The feature was born out of the belief that everyone has a unique way of managing finances based on different priorities, needs, and financial journeys.

Through Pocket Inspiration, users can find recommended Pocket configurations that best match their financial personalities and goals. Six types of Pocket Inspiration are currently available, tailored to various user characters: Perintis (The Pioneer), Pejuang (The Fighter), Pembangun (The Builder), Pelindung (The Protector), Penjaga (The Guardian), and Perancang (The Planner).

Michael Hartawan, Head of Retail Banking Brand & Marketing at Bank Jago said "Everyone has different goals and ways of managing money, therefore we present Pocket Inspiration to help users find pocket composition ideas that are suitable and relevant to their personal financial situations within the Jago App."

To discover their Inspirasi Kantong type, users simply open the Pocket menu in the Jago App and answer a few simple questions regarding their financial aspirations, habits, capacity, and financial confidence. Based on their answers, users will receive their Inspirasi Kantong type, a brief description of their financial characteristics, and a recommended Pocket setup that can be used immediately or customized and personalized to meet their individual needs.

Prior to launching Pocket Inspiration, Bank Jago conducted the Reality Challenge: Seni Menempatkan Uang (The Art of Placing Money). The challenge invited 10 people with different backgrounds, professions, and financial goals to manage an additional fund of Rp10 million for 30 days using the Jago App.

In the initial questionnaire for the Reality Challenge, which was organized in collaboration with directors Jovial da Lopez and Andovi da Lopez, eight out of the 10 participants chose having more money over being better at managing money. However, after 30 days, eight out of those 10 participants changed their minds, choosing to be better at managing money rather than simply having more of it.

"Before the Reality Challenge began, participants were asked a simple question: 'If given a choice, which would you choose: having more money or becoming better at managing money?' The results showed an interesting shift in perspective," said Michael. "When everyone receives the same amount of money, what matters most is not the nominal value of the money itself, but how it is managed according to each person's goals, priorities, and life."

From this Reality Challenge, Bank Jago learned that everyone has their own way or "art" of placing money according to their financial goals. Financial matters are not only related to the amount of money earned but also to each individual's capacity to manage it.

At the beginning of the Reality Challenge, participants were asked to fill out a short questionnaire to determine the Pocket Inspiration type that best suited their financial condition and needs. Based on the results, they received a recommended Pocket setup as a starting point to manage their money with the Jago App.

Over the 30 days, the participants' journeys were guided by Annisa Steviani, a Certified Financial Planner. Participants were free to decide how to use the funds they received.

"There was no script, no direction regarding the decisions that had to be made. As a result, each participant brought different and authentic reactions, stories, and journeys about how they prioritize money according to their respective needs and life goals," said Michael.

One participant, Andini, a yoga instructor, used the additional funds to get closer to her dream of building a wellness business. After answering the Inspirasi Kantong questions, Andini was categorized as a Perintis (Pioneer). Her recommended setup consisted of one Emergency Fund Pocket, two Daily Needs Pockets, two Savings Pockets, and one Spending Pocket. This configuration helped her separate operational funds for yoga classes, raw material purchases, and business development.

Meanwhile, Caesario had two major goals: organizing a music concert and sending his parents on the umrah pilgrimage. After answering the Inspirasi Kantong questions, Caesario was categorized as a Pejuang (Fighter), with a recommendation of one Emergency Fund Pocket, one Daily Needs Pocket, one Savings Pocket, and one Spending Pocket.

Other participants demonstrated different approaches. Some focused more on maintaining financial stability and building an emergency fund, some prioritized family needs, while others disciplined themselves to allocate money toward specific financial targets, such as education or traveling abroad. Despite starting with the same amount of money, each participant had unique priorities and financial journeys.

"Perhaps for Bank Jago this is a challenge, but for me, this is character building," said Fadlu, one of the Reality Challenge participants.

"Through Inspirasi Kantong and this Reality Challenge, Bank Jago wants to invite more people to see that managing money is not just about having more, but about placing money in the right pockets so that financial goals can be achieved," said Michael.
