Adam Harefah likes managing money digitally because of its practicality. Adam, who works as an employee in a privately owned company, admits that it was difficult to find a bank that manages money according to sharia principles, has complete features and provides digital convenience. But, that was before Adam knew about Jago Syariah.
“I thought at first that there were limitations between Islamic and conventional banks. Not all conventional banks have sharia-based products. But, Bank Jago has. After Jago Syariah was launched, I opened an account right away. It turns out that the features are complete and according to sharia principles. The difference is in the interest because sharia principles don’t allow interest," Adam explained.
“If you look at it, Jago Syariah gives a new color. In the past, people thought that sharia was only for Muslims. But actually it isn’t. Anyone can use sharia-based products. And, with the digital concept offered by Jago Syariah, it is very suitable for young people like me,” Adam added.
The Ecosystem of Jago Syariah
In addition to offering the concept of digital financial management based on sharia principles, Jago Syariah has the Pocket feature and ecosystem, which Adam found very useful.
“With Jago Syariah, we can create lots of Pockets to separate money and needs. For example, I have Bibit Pocket for mutual fund investments and GoPay Pocket. Because I quite like the GoTo's environment. I also often use GoFood to order meals."
After linking Jago to Gojek, Adam felt it even more practical. “In the past, whenever I needed to top up GoPay, I had to open Gojek first. Now that my Jago is linked to Gojek, I can just open Jago to move money to the GoPay Pocket. Topping up is now less complicated. Every day I definitely check out my Jago."
Likewise when linking Jago to Bibit. If Adam previously sometimes postponed investing because he preferred to spend money on other needs, now he is more disciplined in investing.
“The Jago Autodebit feature is very helpful. I've decided to autodebit a few days after payday. In this way, some of my money is automatically allocated to the Bibit Pocket for investment. Alhamdulillah with Jago Syariah I can transfer money hassle-free and I certainly invest more consistently. I can manage spending better as well.”
According to Adam, many young people are not very much aware what good investments can bring them. But he believes that the situation is changing because Adam and his friends sometimes talk about investment when hanging out together. Moreover, there are applications such as Jago Syariah and Bibit that create an ecosystem to make it easier for anyone interested in investing in mutual funds.
“Since using Jago for investment with Bibit, I've only been like moving Pockets. For example, if I top up Rp 10 million for Bibit, the funds will still be 10 million. The 10 million is just in a different Pocket. So the experience is more comfortable for me.”
Easy and Practical to Manage Finances with Jago Syariah
It's not just the GoPay Pocket and the Bibit Pocket that Adam has. To more easily and practically manage needs, Adam created a number of Pockets for separating money (budgeting).
“As soon as I get my salary, I move the money to the Pockets. For example, I have Pockets for snacks, monthly activities and various other necessities.”
Interestingly, according to Adam, at Jago Syariah every time there is a transaction, he will be asked what the transaction is for. By selecting the right expense category, he can view the report in real time.
“So I can see what expenses are really large in a month. I usually see at the end of the month. There is also a chart with percentages. I think this is very helpful in prioritizing and managing expenses better going forward.”
Jagoans, want to enjoy the convenience and practicality of managing finances digitally and at the same time according to sharia principles like Adam? Insya Allah, together with Jago Syariah, whose Pocket feature is based on the Wadi'ah Yad Dhamanah akad, managing money will be more blissful.
