In this event, Consumer Business Brand Manager at Bank Jago, Muhammad Pandu, and renowned influencer from Makassar, Anggu Batary were invited as speakers to provide insights on financial and digital literacy to around 200 students from various universities in Makassar.
"Students are a group with an age range that should already possess good financial management skills, which will be very useful for them as they enter the workforce," said Pandu.
He noted that managing finances is a challenge for many people, especially for millennials and Gen Z, who tend to struggle with financial management due to high consumption habits. This issue is often underestimated, whereas the ability to manage finances well is essential for securing the future.
In fact, Pandu continued, digitalization has given rise to many financial and banking applications that make it easier for young generations to manage their finances wisely from an early age. At the same event, influencer Anggu Batary also shared her experience when starting her business. For her, starting a business without capital is possible, as long as one can build trust with potential customers and be creative in promoting through social media. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Business Indonesia, Rahayuningsih, stated that the Bisnis Indonesia Goes to Campus event was held as an effort to enhance the quality of financial and digital literacy among students, who are notably the younger generation.
"Knowledge in digital, financial, and entrepreneurial aspects can be their preparation for the future. The hope is that the enhancement of this capacity can serve as preparation in carrying the baton for Indonesia's golden age in 2045," Rahayu explained.
