Is it safe to transact and save money at Bank Jago?

Bank Jago is a member of the LPS deposit insurance program, also licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia. LPS guarantees customers’ savings, such as deposits and other savings, up to Rp2 billion at maximum per customer, as long as the interest rate does not exceed the guaranteed interest rate. Rest assured that your money is safe with Bank Jago.
 

What can customers do to improve their Jago account security?

  1. Avoid logging into your account on someone else’s device.
  2. Do not share Jago account information with anybody, including family, relatives, and Bank Jago employees.
  3. Always be extra cautious when making transactions in public spaces and avoid using free WiFi.
  4. Avoid overexposing personal data and pictures on social media to prevent fraud.
  5. Make sure to always lock the device’s screen right after doing any activity.
     

These are more tips to make your transactions on the Jago app more secure:

Change PIN and password regularly 

Avoid using predictable combinations for PIN, such as birth year and date, or house numbers. Avoid using family members’ or mother’s maiden names for passwords. Change it regularly, once per month, for instance.

Activate biometric authentication

Other than changing PIN and password regularly, using biometric login such as fingerprint or face recognition will also help as this adds more layers to your account’s security. Find out how to activate biometric authentication here

Set limit for transaction authentication

Transaction authentication is a feature that allows you to set a maximum amount per transaction without requiring a password to confirm. If you set a limit of Rp2 million, all transactions over Rp2 million will require you to input your password. Learn more about transaction authentication here

Turn on transaction notifications

On the More page, select the gear icon at the top right of the page to go to Settings. You can manage all notifications related to Financial and Non-Financial Activities to get notified via push notifications and emails about all activities happening on the Jago app. Find out how to manage transaction notifications here

If you notice suspicious or unknown activities on your device such as:

  • a call telling you that you win a reward from Bank Jago 
  • a WhatsApp message or an email suggesting you tap a link to win a prize, avoid your account getting blocked, or any other urgent message,
